ABOUT BFF

The 2022 Brisbane Feminist Festival is a two-day event filled with interactive panel discussions, up-skilling workshops, exhibitors and stall holders, and discussion circles all focused on one thing: growing, supporting, and facilitating conversations around feminism.

No matter the topic of our workshops and panels, BFF aims bring together a community of people who hold different experiences, identities, and paths in life.

Our theme this year is Continuous Learning, Meaningful Growth, Radical Love.

As activists, the core of who we are, is love. In these times of turmoil, Continuous Learning, Meaningful Growth, and Radical Love is our unconditional commitment to the community. We hope that BFF attendees walk away with the tools for collective change, a passion to learn more, and a love for the community around them.

Getting There

PUBLIC TRANSPORT OPTIONS

Located close to New Farm Park, Events on Oxlade can be accessed by public transport, with a bus stop located outside the front door and the City Cat Terminal 130 meters away at the park.

PARKING

Events on Oxlade has a 20-car capacity car park and an ample amount of unmetered street parking.

As an intersectional feminist organisation, OWP is dedicated to hosting an inclusive event that is guided by our organisational beliefs. Through our program, we aim to bring light to a variety of issues that are currently impacting marginalised communities, discuss solutions, and build a more understanding and empathetic community. We are committed to empowering, and centring the voices of marginalised communities.
One Woman Project acknowledges that on and offline events should be made accessible by design. We acknowledge that those with a permanent disability may be aware of what they require for meaningful participation, whereas those with a temporary disability may not know how to request accommodations. In this way, we are deeply committed to making the Brisbane Feminist Festival as accessible as possible. One Woman Project is committed to employing management systems and alternatives specifically designed to minimise wasteful materials and the generation of waste, and to enable recycling and reuse of materials.
Where the One Woman Project has a speaker to talk on the topics of climate and/or environmental change and justice, the organisation is prioritising the voices of those most impacted by the climate crisis.

At BFF the safety and well-being of the community is our priority. To support a safe event, we kindly ask that you:
- Wear a mask - we encourage everyone to bring their own masks, however, we will have disposable masks available at the event. Please note that masks are currently mandatory on public transport to and from the event.
- Practise physical distancing as best as you can during the festival.
- Stay at home if you are unwell or are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms.
- Seek assistance from an OWP Volunteer if you become unwell during the event.
- Use the hand sanitiser provided.
