Education & Curriculum
The Education and Curriculum portfolio exists to deliver educational programs for young people that develop an understanding of gender equity. This is done through:
The portfolio aims to become the go-to provider of community-based education programs across Australia, in order to achieve the goal of promoting and developing gender equity across the country.
Delivered to schools across metropolitan Brisbane, our In-School Workshops program provides short, interactive workshops on topics like Healthy Relationships & Consent, Media Representation, Leadership & Equality, Gender Roles & Stereotypes, Social Media and more.
Our longest-running program, the Seminar Series, provides educational opportunities to wider members of the community. In 2021, the Seminar Series will feature online workshops hosted every second month, exploring a different topic in feminism.
Our Rural Roadtrips program offers free and low-cost workshops to schools across rural, regional and remote Queensland. These workshops are similar to our in-school workshop topics, but tailored to students in these regional and marginalised communities.
